Step into the heart of our nation’s history and experience the rich, moral, and religious foundations that have shaped America.

This unique opportunity offers a private, evening Spiritual Heritage Tour of the United States Capitol, led by Tim and David Barton, and hosted by a Member of Congress. You will have access to exclusive rooms and artifacts that are typically not open to the public. As you explore the Capitol, you'll be uplifted by stories of Godly heroes honored throughout the building, and Tim and David will offer fresh insights into the spiritual significance woven throughout this historic structure.

Additionally, you will have the chance to meet privately with key members of Congress (including PFLN alumni) for briefings on current legislation and issues that directly impact state legislatures and your leadership in your home state.

The experience will also include a special guided tour of the iconic D.C. monuments, with historical commentary from Tim and David Barton. You will explore the Museum of the Bible and much more—details of the full agenda will be announced soon!

Washington, D.C. is overflowing with history, and while we can't cover everything, our goal is to highlight some of the most important attractions. We encourage you to extend your trip if you'd like to explore more on your own.

Travel Tips

Airport

Washington Reagan National (DCA) is the closest airport, located about 15 minutes from Capitol Hill.

Baltimore Washington International (BWI) and Washington Dulles International (IAD) are each about 45-50 minutes away. Depending on the cost of airfare, it may be cost-effective to fly into BWI or IAD and take a cab to DC. (Factor in a cab fare of about $50 each way.)

Transportation

If you are flying in, we strongly recommend that you do not rent a car. Parking on Capitol Hill is unreliable and difficult. There are taxis or other ride services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) available to choose from for transportation purposes.

However, if you are driving into the District, we recommend that you park at Union Station and take the Metro down to the Capitol South stop (there is virtually no parking around the Capitol). When you exit at Capitol South, you will be directly behind the Cannon House Office Building and across the street from the Capitol.

The Metro is a fantastic mode of transportation and highly recommended. The Capitol South stop will deposit travelers at the appropriate location for then walking over to the House Office Buildings.

When is the next PFLN Legislators' DC Tour?

What is the Cost?

There is no charge for the PFLN Legislators' DC Tour; as this is a special gift to PFLN members. However, all attendees are responsible for arranging and booking their own travel, accommodations and some meals.

What is the purpose of the PFLN Legislators' DC Tour?

This is a unique educational and informative opportunity for State Legislators to hear from the hearts of some of the top Christian congressional leaders (including PFLN alumni) in the country. Our hope is that you will return home encouraged and educated about the issues of the day that affect faith and family and that you will be inspired to lead on these issues in your state.

Who may attend a PFLN Legislators' DC Tour?

The PFLN Legislators' DC Tour is intended for State Legislators and their family – those who exercise substantial influence on the state level of government.

What about Spouses?

We invite spouses to participate with the legislator, any spouse of a state legislator must be registered to attend. Please use the 'Add Another Registrant Button' to register your spouse. Children are welcome to join as well, but must be registered.

May I bring a gift for the speakers?

WallBuilders policy prohibits attendees from distributing gifts or flagging down the speakers before or after their presentation during the PFLN Legislators' DC Tour. Direct contact with the speakers needs to be arranged with that speaker’s office prior to your visit. (This means no “pictures in the hall.”)

What about Photos?

While photos are welcomed and encouraged for both the Capitol Tour and the Capitol Briefing session, please remember that our policy does not allow for personal photos with any of the speakers. Arrangements for personal photos must be prearranged and confirmed through that individual speaker’s office and may not take place during the Capitol Briefing session.

What is the Itinerary?

The PFLN Legislators' DC Tour will kick off on Thursday afternoon at 5pm, June 26th, with Briefings from Members of Congress, followed by the Capitol Tour. Events on Friday will be held throughout the day, concluding with a nights Monuments Tour by Tim and David Barton. Specific details will be sent to confirmed attendees as the PFLN Legislators' DC Tour date gets closer. Please see the Travel Tips page for flight itinerary suggestions.

What about Luggage Storage?

Please allow plenty of time for travel on Thursday so that you can check into your hotel before the Capitol tour as there is not a place to store luggage during the tour.
